The WHAT + WHERE + HOW + CHECK formula
A vague prompt forces Claude to guess. A good prompt states clearly:
- WHAT — the task to do
- WHERE — which file/module
- HOW — constraints, style, libraries
- CHECK — how to verify the result is correct
The more specific, the fewer back-and-forth rounds.
